its that straw I put down this winter making it tall. It just hasnt rotted down yet. then the peat I put this spring is not nice smelling. If I took it out it will flood for sure unless it was replaced.
wouldn't it be to strong and burn the plants up? We use it but work it into the soil a month or more before we plant.Granny, don't buy more dirt to plant tomatoes. Pay chicken boy what it cost for each bag & have him dig the floor of your coop down. That will be some good chit![]()

Straw takes a while to break down... I use wood shavings and throw all my produce scraps in the run.
