That is not where I live, Gene rent's the house. I bought it to enlarge my yard. Before I got the farmstead. But now I can't sell it because of all the raised beds and what not. Talk about wishing for hindsight.

In detroit they sold homes with 2 ft. on each side . just a walk space . Mine didnt have any space on one side and whatever a walk gate width is on the other.

there is supposed to be a street running east west between my place and that house . City didn't put it in and split the street land between the two. Dickinson requires a minimum of 7000 sq ft for a city lot in order to build a house with an 8 foot set back from the property line to build a house.

that would drive me NUTZ in a hurry to me it all about the land/yard. If you have a big enough one you can always add on to the house.

25 years I lived like that and all I ever wanted was land. this 2 1/2 looked like a jungle to me. I wanted more but glad now I didnt. Have a hard enough time with this. In detroit, I could look out my window straight into someone elses window. watch them eat dinner/smell it. It was awful.

especially since it was Always pinto beans

I totally agree and just because you NOW have 2 1/2 acres doesn't mean you have to have the whole thing as yard. Let what you can't take care of comfortably go back to "nature" That could be your earth day project for this year. Think of all the wildlife that would move in and all the birds.
