been trying to research them things and all i find is extremely rare like newspaper worthy and a biologist that has studied them says if you see one in your life time count yourself very lucky. it was a report from 2012 and it was in the paper as well. Missouri I believe was the last sighting.

been doing some reading on incubating seramas ,breeding too. guess i should of done that first. it talks about a lethal gene some carry, its the short legs. if you breed short to short you have a 25% mortality rate. I honestly dont know if mine would be considered short as i couldnt find a length. strike one, If your hen is an A size or micro the viability of the eggs suffer, strike 2, If your eggs are not the right weight , between 18-28 grams less likely to hatch, strike 3 maybe. I dont (dont yell at me casportpony) have a scale for that. I have had a wind egg this size before. humidity is different, higher. temp is different ( it was in C. should of wrote it down. probably have fun finding that one post again. any way, that is what i read today. if it is right or not i guess time will tell.

would have been way better alive.

Oh yes! Yumy! I didn't get to bring enough turkey home so I bought and cooked one day after thanksgiving so we can have lots of turkey sandwiches with cranberry, mainase and salt.

i would say your one of the lucky ones, thats one less to go after your chickens . I thought about checking the prices of the turkeys to see if they were on sale then maybe freezing some but my son wont eat it and i didnt really want to cook that bad. you know, he didnt eat the game birds either. took a couple bites off of one the second day. I am beginning to think he just wont eat anything that looks like an animal. he likes chicken.

I cant think of one veggie he eats. used to eat peas and corn. not allower to have corn now. he loves beef jerky I made a corned beef in the crock pot and he eats that. said it reminded him of the jerky.
