I had some surgery done on it. Achilles tendon repair and some of the bone had to go including 2 spurs and part of the heeI guess some of the bone has crumbled in there as well so he had to take a lot of crap out. then it got infected and wouldnt heal. its been 3 months but because of a couple falls and me not wearing my boot like i was supposed to I set myself back and I am supposed to have 6 more months to go. I need to point out for some, no names twisted, hehee the only time i fell was when i had that stupid boot on. 

Sorry to hear that Granny, have you had to wear the suction boot for drawing out the infection. My dad was diabetic, he lost a toe & had to have bone removed from the bottom of his foot years ago, it wouldn't heal, so he had to be in a wheelchair with this special
suction boot to try to draw the infection out. They lived with my husband and I for 6 months because their home wasn't set up with wheelchair accessibility. Still never healed right. A year later he was to the point where the surgeon was going to at least take the foot if not more. He had already been on dialysis for 3 years when his liver failed and he passed. It was a blessing for him, he was a big man and I Mom would no longer be able to care for him. It would have killed him to be put in a nursing home. I'm so glad it never happened. So please take care of yourself

HI all !! Quick report and will try to get to bed at a decent time. 5 hours last night and about the same the night before. Saw a pup actually standing this evening and tail sort of waving. This litter seems to be moving along (developing) quicker then the others. Lu is busy washing and cleaning most of the time but not so good and eating the little poo's from the pups. At first it looked like a couple of dried earthworms. Toes and tails in the am. I have the field line of springers which AKC hasn't messed with as much as the bench. I know which pup I am keeping just can't decide on which name to keep with her. LOL I think females need a more delicate hand when training, where as my males are like cool you touched me (even in punishment) do it again. or "thank you sir may I have another" stole a quote from a movie there wonder if anyone can guess which one. My buddy who does the web site is the one in the hospital and now has 5 less toes, mailing because he didn't do what the doctor's told him to!!! Hint sound like some one else we all know?? Will try to get the pics my friend took and emailed to me off the email and on here. To tired and mentally slow to try tonight. Sweet Dreams and warm fuzzies

Santa visited our house tonight! The kids made cookies and I just finished with the wrapping and picking up. Yes, that's a big fire truck complete with lights and sounds. My boy is about to have his best Christmas ever.

either i am not awake yet or not understanding, Twisted, your friends toes were amputated ? I am glad the pups are doing well, if mama dont clean the behinds you will have to. they cant poop without that. Campingshaws, you have Christmas 2 day early? your tree looks like it is on fire. LOL you have a beautiful home. love the color on the walls. I remember getting that same truck for my boy when he was little, I hope the noise it made has improved since then.

Granny, we are the worst at waiting for Christmas, mostly because we're never home. We always go to either my mom's house, or my mother-in-law's, plus all the others in between. So our little Shaw family Christmas is whenever we we're ready for it. Sometimes it's been in November.

All my friends were SHOCKED that we made it this long.

All I am getting for Christmas is a whole day of peace and quiet. I am going to drink Southern Comfort eggnog and watch movies all day! I am going to call everyone early in the morning and then only answer the phone if Mike calls me.......

Here's my tree looking less on fire, lol!

We're having crazy weather, tornado warnings and egg-sized hail all around. None here yet, though getting dark and lots of thunder. Raining now, too, which kills my plans of yard work today.

NOpe they took all the toes on the right foot. She (lu) is doing her job with stimulation the pups to do their business just not to keen on eating the "tootsie rolls" I find them flicked away from the pups. Back from the vets toes and tails done, momma checked out and on antibotics as has a bit of a fever. Thinking I had hobbits instead of puppies their are on their 4 th breakfasts. LOL
Gonna try for the pics in a few. The vet said she thought I had had to much Christmas cheer when I told her one of the pups was standing on its own already. Thought I was in never land meself which is why I looked and got up and checked 5 times. Lu is already down to her girlish weight of 41 lbs but no the girlish figure LOL wish me luck on the pics.
