we have come to the age where we realize how much more comfort is important to us then style.  as for me, I stayed barefoot til my 40s.  I had some pretty tough feet. I have never owned a pr. of heels and am quite sure i would break something if i tried.  never carried a purse, wallet only and half the time thats in toms coat pocket.  there are TONS of clothing i refuse to wear.   never have, never will. LOL 

I know I have definately come to that age, not that I haven't been there my whole life. I wear my clothes & shoes until they disingerate. We have never had much money and for the most of my life I've been self-employed at home. Even if I had the money I would refuse to pay for what the want for new clothing. If I get something "new" it is from a garage sale or a thrift store and I'm perfectly fine with that. If it wasn't for my oldest daughter feeling sorry for her mom occasionally I wouldn't have anything to wear to a funeral or wedding. Just about ever pair of shoes I own have managed to become chicken shoes. I have a old kiddie pool in my garage that I put all of them in. Now I just head out to the garage and slide a pair of boot on before I head out.

I cant leave mine outside . I have very large feet. plenty of hiding places for little critters. I have Peggy Hill feet. do you guys know who that is ? I go to sleep with her every night because she bores me to sleep.

Family member to my mother ; All my clothes come from JCPennys or sears, seems like the other stores clothes just dont hold up ! where do you get yours from ? My Mother ; oh, these old things? they came from saxs . Really how wonderful, how can you afford such expensive clothes? you misunderstand, I get a sax full for a quarter.

I had an idea and thought i would run it by you guys. the Kleenex tissues with the germ protector ? I dont know what it is but some type of antibacterial is how it is advertised. So my serama egg was a little loose in the turner and i used a piece. of paper towel to keep it from banging when it was at full tilt. LOL got me thinking about the kleenex. so a lot of times people have bacteria issues from not to clean an egg or what ever reason. I know that can spread and ruin a whole hatch. so what if each egg was wrapped in the tissue before being put in the incubator ? would it stop the spread? and you have that one special egg you have been waiting on but its dirty. If it were to bust in there wouldnt that help it from getting on the other eggs? What ya think? am i missing some thing major or way off key here?

I think i am just having plain ol crappy luck. mine are hatching. just not serama.  I really dont know about the light but i do know they didnt like it. definatly did some flipping around in there when i put it on them. its no stronger then most and weaker then a lot i have seen.  I dont think i will be trying again after these unless they do hatch. if they do i know the problem for sure.  i will let mama give it a try.

I think it's the winter!!! We are going against mother nature lol. On that frozen water problem granny just go get a aquarium heater 25 watt they work GREAT and are CHEAP haha

thank you alisen, cheap and simple . yes, I agree . why i have to take the hard road i dont know. of course it has been yrs. since i priced them but when they first came out the big ones were 50 dollars. I hope they have dropped in price . lol

Hi all !!!!!

Man I have Jan, what with quarterlies, end of the year books, payroll taxes and W-2 forms and my personal tax crap. Plus pay property taxes, the school portion of my taxes was about 800.oo in 2012 and over $3,000.oo in 2014 and this is after the state buy down and limiting the number of mills a school district can charge and a 12% state wide property tax buy down. Pretty sure I have more then paid for the 8 years of public education I got. AND NOW Dickinson is building a 65 MILLION dollar middle school. REALLY 65 million ?!? our new water treatment plant was only 30 million and everyone uses that. OK enough ranting about that.


The pups are doing great !! They are at that I'm gonna eat your face stage with their siblings. Also sort of trying to eat puppy food. Also taking an interest in toys I use the cheap home made type LOL empty thread spools, empty 20 oz pop bottles with label removed and throw in some dried maccorine (noodles) For the most part they seem to have the ides that they should go into the play area of the pen to do their jobs. Which is covered in newspaper.

Paper trained is good, its a start anyway. LOL my taxes are VERY cheap here. almost ashamed to say. little over 2 1/2 acres. 171.69 for the yr. LOL no worries Twist, wont be long before you can claim old age exemption. I know you have a ton of land and bldings. there but have you gone to fight your assessment with the city? Get yourself a real estate book, circle 3 properties that are similar to yours in your county no matter the condition and that are assessed lower then your property and take it to them. ask for a hearing to get them lowered and make sure you are receiving all your exemptions. If for example, you owed money on one of the bldings, you can have the mortgage exemption. And have you even had it done since the market fell ?

Any one ever lose a chicken ? How about in a sealed coop ? I did. its just gone. they were picked up and counted 3 times by myself and twice by someone else. one is just gone. No mistake on how many went in. that was counted by seller, and myself , again one at a time. clean coop, no hiding places, no feathers, bones , ect... always chase them away from the door when leaving or coming in .
