we have come to the age where we realize how much more comfort is important to us then style. as for me, I stayed barefoot til my 40s. I had some pretty tough feet. I have never owned a pr. of heels and am quite sure i would break something if i tried. never carried a purse, wallet only and half the time thats in toms coat pocket. there are TONS of clothing i refuse to wear.never have, never will. LOL
I know I have definately come to that age, not that I haven't been there my whole life. I wear my clothes & shoes until they disingerate. We have never had much money and for the most of my life I've been self-employed at home. Even if I had the money I would refuse to pay for what the want for new clothing. If I get something "new" it is from a garage sale or a thrift store and I'm perfectly fine with that. If it wasn't for my oldest daughter feeling sorry for her mom occasionally I wouldn't have anything to wear to a funeral or wedding. Just about ever pair of shoes I own have managed to become chicken shoes. I have a old kiddie pool in my garage that I put all of them in. Now I just head out to the garage and slide a pair of boot on before I head out.
