aww, its not hard to get ready for them if you decide to. I thought you were incubating your own eggs. It is your first hatch right? I am ready to stop. I have 4 days left

I just seen a post on facebook from my nephew . his mom, my sister was the one that was murdered in 08. he has never been able to handle it and turned to drugs, ect.... his post is simple really, just one word, but it speaks volumes. FREEZING I helped with these kids for about 10 yrs. and it just makes me sick. his own brother lives close and wont allow him in.

I haven't decided if I should stay up all night, sleep on the sofa, or just go to bed. I'm so exhausted.

if the others havent even piped yet they probably wont hatch til tomorrow. you might miss this one though. after they hatch they get real loud. at least this has been my experience. hope you get some rest. I know you need it.

How will I know if it needs my assistance? Because it's not out of the woods yet, right?

no, its not. the very hardest thing to do is nothing. keep in mind it has a yolk sac that can feed it for 3 days after the pip. as long as there is an air hole the best thing is to leave it be. boy, that was a lot of short words. lol It wont need your assistance tonight . the only reason it would at this point is if it is turned wrong in the shell and cant zip, or the humidity is too low and it shrink wraps itself. either one of these will wait til you are rested. I am sure there are other reasons but these are the most common.

If it hasnt hatched by morning , actually its a good idea any way, go read up on assisted hatches. the pictures are a big help.
