Rancher your jokes/puns are enough to make odgen knash his teeth. Sigh most of my jokes and puns and limericks can't be posted on this site. LOL I have a dog like the pecky hens only she doesn't let the male do is procreating with her and by all that is holy her little sister isn't gonna get it either.

Vet bill was only $370 and change. Not to bad for 5 sets of puppy shots and health checks. rabies, parvo , distemper/ and something else plus my male having his anal glands expressed. OMG the worst smell ever!!! makes rotten eggs smell good. Spent on hour at the vet's total. Pups range from 7.4 pounds to 8.8 pounds. The liver female is the moose. One pup leaving Friday and 2 on Saturday. Ordered heartgard and frontline for the 4 adults and 1 puppy from Austrialia total about $400.00 for 6 month of the heartgard and 3 months of frontline. But this way don't have to pay 20.00 per dog to the vet for the heartworm test before I can even get the heartguard. Hens are laying pretty well. Sold 16 dozen eggs to one customer from Bismarck tues. He had a buddy who was in town get them for him. Bismarck is about 100 miles east and in another time zone. Neighbor got a Great Dane and he is huge. rests his front paws and a 6 foot plus fence and looks over. Sort of like Clifford the big red dog. Still haven't put in my chick order this year need to get the spare roosters into the freezer and the brooder/bachelor pad/room cleaned up first.

Guess my little female I am keeping is going to be registered as Martin's Star of BethLuHymn. Lu is her mom's nickname and Hymn was her grandpa's name.

When ever I see LOLA I think of that Barry Manilow song.......... Her name was Lola she was a show girl and then something about the hottest show north of Havana. music and passion were always the fashion at the Copa copa cabana.

that was another song that was sung a lot to her . I had forgotten that one. I like the song myself. LOL great name for your girl. you know wally world sells flea and tick the same as frontline for 1/2 the price now right? and because it is the same price for different sized dogs i buy the one for large dogs and divide it on the dogs. I cant see how you have fleas or ticks where you live. any other bugs for that matter. LOL
love the name you settled on, will she be called beth? daughter woke me early coughing , thought she was choking , scared me. I jumped up and was half way out of my room when i looked down and realized most people dont walk around like that. of course by the time i was dressed and checked on her she was already back to sleep an here i sit. Morning everyone! I managed to trap dog #6 last night...... Only 4 or 5 more to go........

Come on over to my place when you finish with yours -- the time has come for a couple of "neighbor" dogs to go the way of the live trap borrowed from A/C. Said neighbor is one that I will NOT be going to talk to about the problem (not exaggerating when I say doing so would result in either myself or the dog being shot, or both - he is *that* neighbor, we were warned about him when just looking at the property years ago and have had only a few occasions to have to deal with him but they have proven the warnings to be well made) and recently his pack of dogs that run loose have begun to frequent our property. Bold things, two nights ago had one right up at our back door trying to get at one of our cats he had treed on the porch - they aren't the friendliest dogs and their new intrusions onto our property with such boldness have left me very uncomfortable with DS doing morning chicken chores in the dark as it's a bit of a distance across the pasture to the coop. Was fairly certain they had gotten one of the cats as Salem was MIA for almost two full days - thankfully he turned up about four o'clock this morning (nails on a chalkboard are nothing compared to this guy's big ol' claws on a sliding glass door, he knows how to get someone to let him in, lol). I did find a cat I'd never seen before laying dead on the property next door a couple of weeks ago and am fairly certain these dogs are the ones that were responsible for that one. One advantage of our location is that we are literally right on the county line (our road) so the AC that will be picking up the dogs from our property is from one county and the place they come from is in another - chances of him thinking or even bothering to look for them there aren't too likely.....and law enforcement on both sides of the line and the rest of the neighbors are familiar enough with him that there is no need to worry about him hearing just who the dogs were turned over by.

There must have been a full moon last night, I tossed and turned all night. It was so bad the dogs finally went to the living room to sleep in the chair. I got up with a splitting headache....... Went to make coffee and found something that looks like mold growing in the water reservoir, cleaned that up and perked a pot of coffee..... Sat down to enjoy it, and a cat fight breaks out under my house....... Retarded landlord didn't cover the crawl space up when he fixed the frozen pipes....... While I was covering the hole up, I see one of the stupid cats eating Mike's rooster's pellets!!!!! So, now I have to trap that stupid cat and then figure out what to do with him....... I fed the farm dog on the way to the barn, came back from the barn in time to catch the horse eating the dog's food!!!!!....... No wonder the dog was appearing to eat so much dog food and stay nice and slender...... Guess what next???? The washing machine won't work today....... I will have to call the land lord again....... I wonder if all the ferrel cats are eating pellets the hens are being fed????? Good grief!!
