At this time, the way things are looking, it will just be too much trouble....... I only really have 2 or 3 chickens that is really going to hurt to part with....... Someone out there has already offered to set me up with hatching eggs for Cream Legbars. There a very well known Araucana breeder that I have already been in contact with. Someone on here has Swedish Flowers only a couple of counties over. And my son drives all over the USA, so it will not be hard for me to start back up. I should not have to eat store bought eggs very long....... Oh, and by the way, I have 3 incubators.......... And he has 2 of them....... I will be up to my neck in chickens in no time. Yesssssss!

Hi granny girl, did you wafers come today? Not much happening here, got all incubators cleaned and put aside. It's kinda strange, I haven't not had a incubator going since last Nov. My office is quiet. Just got rid of 8 roosters, they will be leaving on Saturday. That will definitely free up some coop space. I have the 11 chicks I hatched Sun-Mon advertised. Hoping they will sell, if they do then I will consider incubating some more. It's just too darn cold to add more chicks if the 11 don't sell. I only have so much room. Once the 8 - 8 week old roosters are gone it will leave me with 10 hens that I brooding for my brother-in-laws flock. 4 silkies that are 3 weeks and the 11 new ones.

no wafers. tracking # they gave me was bogus. way to go Rural King. I dont recommend shopping their on line store . I could have gotten them cheaper somewhere else. I wanted the 2 day delivery. that was on the 9th. 9 days ago. it is bitter cold here too. wind chills from -15 to -30 . wonder how many i will lose ? this is supposed to go on for a couple days i guess. they all have heat lamp but thats not going to cover that kind of cold.

Hello All: Just a quick check in. Busy Busy Busy around here. Carpet installer here thurs morn to do 2 rooms and 1 bathroom (with vinyl) Then have to re-load the one room. Finish the remodel on the other mainly putting stuff back up and loading furniture and or hooking up sink and re-installing the "throne". Mass this evening. Vet next Monday for Beth's second round of puppy shots. Court on Weds to evict the deadbeat/druggies/drunks in one room. Got the judge I despise has me stressing out and of course for me that means cold sores. Have 12 doz lg-exlg eggs in fridge and 5 18 packs of medium to pullets. Nothing over 5 days old hens are picking up. Beth and Noel are seeming to learn that if you paw/splash all of your water out of the pan your gonna get thirsty through out the night. I think they are trying to make a paper-mache ladder or ramp to escape the puppy pen.

Hope your wafers get there soon Granny.

Sorry to hear that you haven't gotten your wafers yet granny. Hopefully they will come today. It is -3 here right now, dreading the chicken chores this morning. We got snow yesterday, thru the night and it's snowing currently. Looks like I'm going to have to snowblow as well. Put if off yesterday because I wasn't feeling 100% yet and it was 4* out. Look where that got me. Snowblow in in -3* temps, lol. What a dumbbell I am haha. Stay warm all, going to enjoy my last cup of coffee then outside for me.
