My apologies, Granny!! I was actually looking for some sympathy...... Right now, I have on two t-shirts and a sweatshirt and am laying on the couch with a blanket and two warm little dog bodies snuggled up to me!

Boy bo I have some toughening up to do.....

Give me a break!

We have to put the meat in the freezer to defrost it.

I didn't know I could feel this bad about a chicken dying....... Guilty is a better word...... One of my older blue egg layers died last night. I found her face first in the bedding under the perch when I took them warm mash a little bit ago. I guess she died in the middle of the night. I think she was 5 years old.......

Hahaha! We still have unfinished, mismatched counter tops, but it's only been 13 years.

Well we have two tables we bought to go with our bed that was so high you had to climb in. One of the tables is still in the box and the store that we bought it from closed years ago.

They need to be stained and polyed.

BUT, we bought new mattresses last fall and the new mattresses make the bed higher still. The first night getting up to the bathroom I slid off and was surprised the floor was so low. So we bought a new bed frame and the Pencil post bed now sits against the wall . We were afraid we'd get hurt, getting out half asleep.

Old unfinished tables are too high for the new bed! It's all messed up.

We still have not learned to measure.

When we bought the bed, it wouldn't go up the stairs so the delivery guys had to hoist it up the side of the house. I had to take the entire window out. The posts do not come off.

AND we had at that time a double sized set of mattresses but the bed is a queen! That meant going out and buying new mattresses.

And sleeping with the old mattresses in the middle of the new bed til they got delivered.

When I was growing up, we were living in a pre-civil war two story cabin that had been made into a proper house by adding additions. In order to get to the second story a narrow, steep stair case was built on one end of the house. So, any time a piece of furniture had to be gotten up stairs, it had to be hoisted up to the porch roof and put through the window of the front window. In order to get the furniture through the window, the entire window had to come out frame and ALL. It was quite a production for a young child to watch. All the guys involved would use all kinds of words my Momma didn't want us to hear!!!
