grandson finished up the chickens today after my little slip. said some young polish mix werent moving much they were cold so he put them in a cage under a heat lamp. they had heat lamp but they were low on the totem pole. Im glad you are happy with your stove. campingshaws. I dont understand it but i am happy for you. I am hurting pretty good now. surgery foot is purple. Enola, when you said you had the rooms closed off that was the first thing that came to mind was frozen pipes. bad day for you. sorry.

need to get this bed over to DD and find some blinds or curtains and she will be good to go. well, she could sleep over there any way. still need tons of stuff. cooking stuff, living stuff. Maybe she will be forced to come and cook over here every day for a while !

The pipes are under the part of the house yhat is heated. The problem is the foundation has large open holes because the land lord thinks there has to be "airflow" to get rid of the moisture under there. So I have to cover the holes with cardboard. But, there is a 4 inch space that runs the entire length of the house on the North side where the sheathing doesn't meet the foundation that I cant cover. Have I mentioned I have a slum land lord?????

Nope, the next time he comes by, he will carry off all the cardboard. Thst is what happened when my pipes froze. I covered the holes, left for work, he comes by and takes the cardboard. I call him the next morning to tell him and he gets mad because I didn't leave the faucets dripping. When he takes the cardboard, Mike calls me at work and I bring more home....

sorry about your hen Enola, I bet you have lived an interesting life. I hurt myself today an neer bout froze to death. slipped on something outside . I know know how to do the splits. LOL I hurt all over. hip, leg shoulder. foot. I couldnt get up. luck for me my SIL was shoveling out front and heard my distress calls. or should i call them screams of pure terror ?  He had me wrap my arms around his neck and he pulled me up like that.  LOL I have pulled my shoulder out by him pulling me up that way.  I would of layed there for a long time.  thats what i get for teasing this morning.   

Oh granny, thank God your SIL was there to hear you scream, so sorry that you fell and hurt yourself. Was there just a couple of weeks ago myself. Take care of yourself and let your little chicken helper help you as much as possible until you can get thru this cold spell. That's why I now carry my cell phone in my coat pocket when I go out to do chores. I have the piece of mind that I can at least call 911 if I fall again and cant get up. Soo..... glad he was there to help.

Purple surgery foot is not good granny. Let's pray you didn't do more damage to it. Hope DD will cook for you again. Glad grandson was able to finish with the chickens for you.
