Here is a picture for size conparison. The CL is 3 weeks, the other chicks in this photo are 4 weeks (cuckoo marans, light brahma, chocolate orpington). She is so small!! This week she is finally bigger than the other chicks when they were new, lol. She was like a little golf ball for a long time, finally growing though!

lovely chicks. I am glad i suck at this because they look roo to me even though they look different. No swaps in ND ? that wont stop people. and i havent heard its bad there. so its probably the same every where. swap mothers day weekend here. big one. chitlins, I have been looking at my tough ol roo for so long i just forget myself sometimes. hahaa I am sooo glad to be home ! everyone was on my nerves today at the stores. found a 4 shelf bookcase behind TSC that will work perfect for 3 more cages. just raw wood but all that is needed is floor, wire and doors. its 4ft. long too. SCORE ! come home to one of the seramas peeping in distress. internal pip, turned wrong and not ready. another all nighter i guess. I opened the air cell and see white butt and small veins. gonna try to track my money here because , well, because its the only place i know to do it. maybe you all can help me ? here goes. SSD, 1,100. to the good. today, 2 cartons of smokes 84.00, gas, 34.00, TSC, 90.00, wal-mart cleaning supplys, 80.00 Lowes, filter for fridge 50.00

Woohoo on the bookcase! Those fridge filters are SO expensive. I haven't replaced mine yet because it's just so pricey. We just don't use the water or ice unit in the fridge, lol.

The two brown chicks are for sure females. The orp is sex linked and the legbar is autosexing. The marans I am pretty confident is a female, at this point, because of her darker feathering and small yellow comb. However, the light brahma is the big huge question at this point. I wasn't even thinking it was a roo until the last week or so, but the comb has gotten wider (and has 3 rows of peas, not 1), the head hasn't feathered yet at 4+ weeks, and it is confronting and flying at everyone in the cage. The guaranteed girls are doing it too, but not like this one. I'm watching it very carefully now. Ugh, not sure what I will do with a roo. :/

I feel badly. I didn't even know what ovations were until you guys were talking about them the other day. I was just in my profile and saw that I have some!! Seems like there should be a notification or something, because I had no clue! I've definitely got to start passing those out.

still working on the backwards serama. I have his beak clear. no hurry now. I was outside finishing up the chores and I mooned the neighbor. I guess he was on his riding mower up close to the property and well, when ya gotta go..... my husband came out to tell me my SIL had called and needed to speak with me. I was very deep in thought when he called me causing a little mini pee pee right there.

He said SIL is on the way over to talk. OMG !! what now ? we sat there for an hour with every thought going through our heads and mouths from they are moving away to they are moving back in. We had a heart to heart about what we could/would put up with and what we cant. We had it pretty much figured out by the time he got here. To borrow the lawn mower.

The word "bowl" makes me think of something small. Maybe remind her that chickens need about a half cup of feed a day? And access to fresh water at all times.
