I'm a HUGE fan of the speckled sussex. I also have EEs that are super friendly. Crested breeds tend to be flighty. I have a cochin who enjoys being handled. That's about the extent of my experience.

Edit: I just realized you said speckled star and sussex star. Not sure what those are exactly? But my sussex mixed breeds are stunning, so I guess I'm a fan of them too.

I have two light brahma chicks, but they're only a few weeks old.

One of the babys in the house was found dead this morning. It was one of the first ones. I didnt see anything on it. It had its wing feathers . I think they are too crowded in there already. I got the brooders to the pole barn (SIL) but just inside and not cleaned. they will still need to be moved. I dont need any of these chickens.

My SS is hopping around already, testing out her little chicken wings, she's so cute.

The golden nugget, however...isn't even a week old and is already a bit of a defensive jerk. I may have to keep my eye on that nugget....(may have to get Robin Sparkles nugget another nugget in case the golden nugget is a jerk/roo/what have you)

powers has been out for 4 days finally fixed ..the storms knocked trees down on the power lines and power pole broke..i just about burned up its so hot out finally showered in cold water i have to read and catch up on alot

granny i'm so sorry about tom i wish there was something the docs could do for him he is in my prayers you are too..what you going to do with that crazy doc that screwed up your foot? Can it be fixed by a doc that knows what he is doing...

sorry you had that stomach bug camping i'm reading 83 post i've missed in 4 days ,,,the mother in me says bland diet nothing carbonated either for a few days but hopefully you are better now

WOW !! Someone has a big mouth. I have a drs. appt for my foot on the 20th.

I wonder if Tom has what Camping has/had. He is so sick. and all he does is sleep and poop. wont eat anything and not much drinking . been 3 days now with no food and i cant make him go to the hospital. His dr. wont be in til monday.

Try to get him to eat and drink - mainly drink. Not eating and dehydration will make his ailment much worse.
