yes granny fluids are more important than food..sure hope they can do something about your foot..yep 83 post someones done lots of talking

Granny, sorry your Tom is feeling so poorly. Sounds like he should be in the hospital, but we all know how obstinate those boulders can be.

As for you, sounds like you have cause for 2 malpractice suits! Good heavens! They did the surgery without your stress test results? My auntie's heart stopped during her foot surgery. They got it going again, but sheesh! This is the same guy that messed up your foot, right? I know they call it practicing medicine, but this guy doesn't seem like he's trying very hard.

My spoiled laying hens demand to be let out of their run every morning. Very loudly and very early.

Lola, the Marans, is the worst. But you know, whatever Lola wants... So I stagger out there at 6am to set them free and let the neighborhood have a peaceful morning. Then the ungrateful creatures demand treats and keep up the loud squawking until treats are delivered. Little extortionists.

The other morning, I went to let them out wrapped in a blanket because it was foggy-drippy-cold. I was kind of flapping the blanket to keep it from touching the ground and they thought I was a monster trying to eat them! They went screaming and running to go hide, but were very quiet after that. Guess they didn't want to attract the attention of the chicken eating monster. Hehe. Tried it again the next morning and it worked like a charm. Didn't even have to give them treats and they were quiet for a couple of hours. Never thought I'd be playing dress up for a bunch of chickens. Whatever works!

Only Peach knew it was me and wasn't afraid, but she's rarely noisy, so as long as she doesn't give me away...

I won't tell anybody, mom.

Haha what a beauty.

Switched the nuggets to shavings. Was gonna clean out the ladies coop too but it's just too danged hot. They're out free ranging now...just got home from work.

They're at least not extortionists in the noisy let us out way. But they see me coming and they get all excited. And if I go outside and anywhere near where they are...I get surrounded by the pullet mafia.

It doesn't help that I give em treats whenever I go out there. But it makes sure they come to me outside, and since I only give them treats in their coop it means they figure out to get in there quick too ;)

the heart dr. was to clear me for surgery. I dont know if he did or not. I thought he did so 2 drs. If Tom doesn't act right I am getting the sledge hammer and busting that boulder up into manageable pieces. I did manage a grilled cheese and sprite today.. funny thing is he still needs his shots for high sugar. infection can raise sugar too.

Her name was Lola, she was a show girl,... My mother hated her name. I sang whatever Lola wants pretty often. piss her right off.

I guess I like names with L in them. Lucy, Lily, Belle, Mel, Lou... and Lola. (dog, cat, dog, parakeet, duck and chicken) Only 2 of those are still alive. If hubs and I had had a girl it would have been Lena (his idea). I almost always suggest L names, but get voted down.

Good Tom ate today. Keep that sledge hammer ready just in case. One of my husband's many aunties gave me a huge rolling pin as a wedding present. She said it was to keep the man in line. My mother in law was not amused, which makes the present (and the auntie) all the more dear! We all have a little dark side.
