My daddy was an alcoholic, too. I remember him dragging me from bar to bar with him... At least he was a "happy" drunk. His drinking got him killed......

He died in a automobile accident. When you are driving when you are drunk, you should not be trying to light a pipe......

He swerved on the road, over corrected, and went off the road on a hillside. Smashed into a tree trunk, about 15 feet up the trunk, because the van was airborne. The coroner said he never felt any pain.......

I go by the accident site everytime I go to VA. There is still a piece of his van at the base of the tree.

My grandmother picked me a mess of birds toe one time . She wilted it (bacon grease) and it was awesome !! Its the only time in my life i had it. If i remember right it was a type of flower. Drs. will tell you polk weed is poison but if it is we sure got our share of it. we would cook the young leaves like collard greens ,mustard, ect... and the stalk was sliced and battered and cooked like okra. I had a friend in MI. we would have coffee every morning together. She started making barbacoa and we would have it on a tortilla with our coffee. It was really good too. One morning she had it cooking in the oven and asked me to check on it. I opened the door and to my horror there was a cows head staring back at me !! bout peed myself.
