They swim in a little water in the bathtub too. They are generally clean unless they crawled through poo.

It's the eel river... was there several years ago and there must have been hundreds of garter snakes there.

It is sunny and a gorgeous 80* here at 7:30 and I have to go to bed because my new position at work has me going to work at 4am.

Her tail comes up when walking. I've just given her 2 ml of revitaliser. And put some in the water. She has just eaten and drank again on her own but then gone and stood back by herself. I've wormed with Panacur. We don't have a licensed poultry wormer here. I've also used verm -x a supposed natural wormer endorsed by vets over here. I may whop some more horse wormer down them. We have a friend who is a vet so I may pop her to see him all though he's not ofay in chickens. Even though his wife keeps them. I've spoke to him about worming with the horse wormer as I thought I had over dosed them and he says you would have to give them enormous amounts to cause any damage. Maybe I didn't give them enough.

Can't see any mites but I've been round with the DE earth again.

If you are willing to drive a few hours or get it delivered, Happy chicks (google them) is licensed to sell dewormers, and I think Pear Tree Poultry is about to get licensed.

ETA : If she doesn't get better, I would also see a vet. Hope she gets better

night enola. silkies are sweet little pets or broody mamas. they really are for show i think. very funny to pay to see a furry chicken but thinking back to being little and at a circus with my dad, I might of paid that. LOL I remember the bearded lady, the half man half something. I think the bearded lady put a curse on me.
