(well, except for when i am out there) How long /old do the trees have to get before they produce ? I bought a pistachio tree about 6 years ago. Its not growing . I dont think they even grow here do they? or on trees?

Probably a good thing I dont know how to post those little sayings. I would have them spread from here to texas. Kids are fighting over cards. they both say they belong to them so they are mine now.

My area of California is strongly influenced by the ocean, about 30 miles away. Most summer days start out foggy and cool. Nights almost always cool down into the 50s. Keeps the temps mild, but sucks to try growing tomatoes and corn. Grapes love it, so tons of vineyards have moved in. Majority of people around here don't have ac since you really only need it for 2 weeks a year at most. (If they're smart enough to leave their windows open at night.) Very different from southern CA. You try swimming in the ocean up here risking hypothermia, killer rip tides, sneaker waves, rocky shores, and if you survive all that, there's always the great whites! The only Baywatch going on is looking for whales from the cliffs. All that morning fog is why the redwoods grow here. About 30% of the year's precipitation comes from fog drip.

If I lived down where Prostar is, I would neeeeed ac for sure! It's all desert down there. Too hot for the likes of wimpy ol' me.

@Yorkshire coop your dads only 60? how old are you ? spill it girlfriend !!!!

DD just stopped by. I thought to pick the kids up. HA ! She says, Im going to the store you need anything ? that was sweet right? HA! she starts out the door and i hear her telling the kids, Im not taking all you guys !

Before you say anything, yes, I realize I am being taking advantage of. I find it quite funny that she thinks i dont see it. Thing is , I really dont care. I like them here + she now is buying dinner and cooking. They thought they were being slick when they brought me a rolling stool for the torture chamber so i could cook. I have a million more reasons to not cook. No matter how hard they try to outsmart you they are your children and you will always stay one up on them.

always graany lol they just don't know how slick we are lol...

Wow, South Indy Ink looks very promising. They have good positive feedback, especially from someone named Pamela!

Like looking at the tattoos, but the piercings... er ... no. Don't even have my ears pierced.

I couldn't get a tattoo because I would never be able to make up my mind what to get, especially since you can't change it. Sharpies are more my speed.

wishing I have 2 tats..i always wanted one but was afraid..then i had to start getting shots in my eyes..talk about hurt wow pretty bad ..so i thought i can stand pain..i got each on the annivarsary of mothers passing....the pain didn't compare to the shots in my eyes...i have no regrets..but 2 is nuff....

Haha I actually acquired myself a portable ac unit before I moved down here (cause hubs' place lacked it). Between the climate shock and everything else that thing saved my hide!

Where we are now, happily enough, has central ac. I haven't had to use it a huge amount (think I'm acclimatizing now lol) but this week...oh man. I want to kiss it. That and this place is decently insulated, gets good breezes, etc. but oh ac. I love you right now.
