Chest started hurting when I was ready for bed so I'm up.

I found the chick waterer so they can drink easier. I was just too tired to hunt for it when it was not where I thought I put it. Nobody fell in but they all try to sleep in the food dish.

It was 55 Fri morning when I left for the hospital. I missed most of the day but it has been close to 100 by afternoon. Oh yeah & humid. I go out to bath the ducks & I'm ready to join them.

Went to a yard sale & got a mini fridge for $5 because it didn't work. Perfect to make an incubator. He plugged it in before he brought it to the house & it worked! Left it running in the driveway a day & a 1/2 to make sure. Put it in the bedroom & it doesn't work anymore. If he can't fix it I am going to take it as a sign that I am to hatch more eggs. Lol

newfie, do you have heart problems? The heat probably doesn't help. I wasn't feeling so great this afternoon because of the heat. Got over 100 outside and about 86 inside. I took my temp just for grins. 100.1 To say I don't handle the heat well is an understatement. Hubs, on the other hand, was doing yard work in the full sun with no trouble. Show off!

Here's hoping your new incubator mini fridge bites the dust!

Heart problems run in my family.

Heat never used to bother me. I was outside all day every day. Now I get too hot & I puke. Just uh oh I'm hot & bleck. Then I go about my business. Must have something to do with menopause. 11 years ago.

Bleah! Heat makes me feel sick, always has, but not barfy, more like how you feel when coming down with the flu. I used to get bad migraines that would only go away after I threw up. Ugh. Fortunately don't get them so bad any more, ever since I had kids. I always blame the hormones!

Morning all and thank you for the kind words. I do remember the good times. The therapy/ talking to someone about what happened, helped a lot. I am ok.

stix, so very sorry for your lose.

I collected my Hens today, and was very tempted to get a Silkie but I resisted the chicken math! When I get some deworming stuff in a month or two I might get a silkie.

I love them! They are timid but that's to be expected, Babs doesn't mind them but Selma has always been at the bottom of the pecking order and I think she is relishing in finally being a dominant hen. It hasn't been more than a few pecks and wing flaps and the new girls seem to be settling in really well.

They got a little upset when it started to get dark but they soon settled themselves on the perches.

They are both twenty weeks old and I have looked on the Wheaten Marans thread and they generally lay around the 28 week mark, Polish live by no-ones rules so I'm not sure when she'll lay but neither look ready to lay.

Photo Time : I couldn't get a great photo of the Wheaten Marans (Monica) but she is at the side in a couple of the photos.

makes me want a polish even more..beautiful
