Well the no raining lasted for about a half an hour. Just long enough for me to start picking the garden to restock veggie stand. I did manage to get my 2 white Silkies dried off & put in the coop as well. Then the skies opened up on me. Decided it wouldn't be a very good idea to host a wet T-shirt contest with only myself as a participant. So headed in for a shower and here I am back on BYC Lol.

Shoot I think granny drove to a CVS in Michigan, she's been gone a long time or she cat napping. What gives granny?

The good news  about all this with the state is at least yaks are considered cattle and not exotic animals/pets.   There are even more hoops to jump through with bison.  

Does this mean you might still be able to get some?

What I wouldn't give for that rain! I just came in and feel & look like a lobster that's been pulled out of a boiling pot- soaking wet and bright red. bleh Both the dogs let me run the hose over them too, so you know it's hot. Chickens are doing okay. I have this big old grapefruit tree with branches to the ground, total shade underneath. I water there and it stays easily 10° cooler. Hanging out in front of the fan until I cool off enough to venture back out to rescue the garden. 4 more days of this h£\\acious heat to come. bleh


Hahaa. That's what I get for being on BYC this morning when it was cool.

We took the kids and pup for a hike. 91, feels like 98, but only 52% humidity. We made almost 2 miles in 82 minutes. Not bad for our first family hike, I think. We took frequent water breaks. Everyone carried their own water bottle, and I carried the gallon.

So I'm gross. 30-minute drive home and still sopping wet.

Nothing from her. We event went on a hike in the park. So maybe it was actually the cat. Which in that case, there's no telling what he caught and ate.
