Grey Mare, I feel that way about going to the doctor.  Dentist is okay for me.  Took my son for a check up so he could play sports. Healthy young man, needed 2 immunizations, no other issues.  We just got the bill for $735.33!  No joke. We used to be able to afford health care, but I don't know now.  Deductible is high, so we pay full cost out of pocket.
That's criminal, they shouldn't be allowed to charge that much

That's me!  Below 65- too cold.  Over 75-  too hot!  10 whole degrees of comfort. Good thing I'm not fussy.  Didn't cool off last night and going to be around 100 again.  Waaah

Newfie, glad they are taking care of you at that hospital, although at risk of causing a heart attack...    Hope you get some news today.  Waiting drives me nuts.
X2 on everything wishing said.

I lost count after 3 dozen sticks. I wonder how much blood I have left. Now they are checking blood sugar too. Lol
400
Oh poor Newfie, d@mn they should have put a canula (SP) in. That is just way too much sticking. Your in pain so I'm sure your blood sugar is elevated. They checked mine right after brain surgery and it was 890. Sorry to read that the other artery is 100% blocked. Your in the best place you can be for the moment. Saying prayers that God guide the hands of your doctors and that every procedure goes good. Godspeed for a quick recovery & better health.

Ugh - good news, I'm posting from my nice comfy recliner which means I am NOT at my desk in the office.........bad news, I'm here because I went to bed at 11 and woke up at 1 with a HORRIBLE tooth ache, got NO rest and by the time the boys started to stir for the day I knew I wasn't going to to work.  DH took DS to school for me and I begrudgingly called the dentist, appt at 2.  I hate, hate, HATE - as in horrible fear hate - the dentist....which is why it has to get this bad before I go (I know, I know -- go sooner and it doesn't get that bad, but knowing and being able to make yourself do it are two different things).  Funniest part is, I have one tooth that is visibly bad - needs a root canal bad (but I don't happen to have an extra $600 in my pocket for that just yet - and that's with insurance!), but that isn't the one that's causing all the pain - go figure.  I'm seriously tempted to just have them take the bad looking tooth out vs. the root canal, but it is towards the front and would leave me looking a little funny........
So sorry to hear that you are suffering with a toothache Mare. I hate going to the dentist myself. I'm one of those put off till it gets really bad myself. Can't help it, went to a dentist for years that was abusive, verbally & physicaly ( he would malisously stab my tongue with the poker thingy). Finally got the nerve a few years ago to get a new one. The old one just has woman problems. He was horrible with both my daughters as well. Great with my hubby though. I've heard of the clove oil helping and my dad used to swear by placing a plain aspirin on the tooth that hurt and biting down crushing the aspirin. Then you hold your teeth together for as long as you can stand it. Only helps though if your able to have aspirin. Feel better, will be praying for ya.
