Congrats on your chicks, even more of an incentive to get home!! New chicks, so cute. Let's hope they get your test over and done with real soon so you can get to playing with your new babies.

I take a measly four hour nap and miss everything!

Homefront: got five eggs from six layers today!! It's been a looooong time since I've gotten five eggs in a day. I felt chicken pelvises and I think the ones with the reddest combs have about a month to go. I can fit my thumb (with room to spare) and I've got really wide thumbs. No change in the cat or dog. Emily the pullet seems to be shifting her weight more, so that's something.

Boobs: I've got big heavy girls that I wrestle I to submission everyday. Wild and free is NOT an option for me; it's way too uncomfortable. In the summers I get THE WORST heat rash because of trapped sweat. :/

Hospitals: nobody loves them. Not much else to say. I've had two c-sections (one emergency, one scheduled) and neither was enjoyable. I bleed like a stuck pig and don't typically respond to whatever it is they use to stop bleeding. Morphine makes me itch. When I got my epidural it made my blood pressure plummet and the nurse wouldn't tell me the number, but she said the bottom number was 14. I also lost about 40% of my blood. That was with my first, and it was downhill from there.

Dentist: only $600 for a root canal? DH got a quote the other day, and they said he needed four at $2k PER TOOTH. He declined, obviously.

, I have a Silkie on Day 20. This is her first hatch. Just got home and found that at least one baby has hatched. y

So, the dentist wasn't *that* bad -- this is the third time I've been to this particular dentist this year and I really like them, which helps with the anxiety. Anyway, the bad tooth is going to need a root canal (this isn't the one I already knew I needed done per the last visit).....scheduled that for Tuesday, came home with a nice big bottle of antibiotics and, the best part, some good pain meds......funny how you don't realize just how much pain you are in until you are no longer feeling it and it's like, WOW! Good news is that we've met our deductible so this one will actually only cost a little over $400 out of pocket (it's a back molar so no need for all the window-dressing that is going to be needed to keep the front one looking pretty when it's all said and done). Dentist feels comfortable putting the other one off until after the first of the year since he knows that I need time to save some $$$ (did I mention that the brakes on the truck are starting to demand attention? It's always something.......oh, and I still owe the school for DS's "book fees" for this year, $300 this year for a public freaking school---Indiana is one messed up state, especially considering he only has like two actual text books, but whatever......).

RE: bras -- nasty, horrible contraptions designed for torture, lol. It is the LAST thing I put on before leaving the house for the day and the FIRST thing to come off as soon as I get home -- my next eldest sister got ALL of the boobs in the family so there were none left when my turn came, lol. Every time I think/talk about bras I think about the song from "Beaches" about the invention of the bra --- good ol' Otto Titsling.....

you guys are cracking me up with the bra thing. guess i am a free spirit. LOL In more places then one.

When I was younger I used to drink, a lot. Thats how I got pregnant as a matter of fact. So, I was feeling pretty depressed and went out to the bar, AKA my job site. I got a couple in me and some dude asks me whats wrong ? I told him I was so depressed I would shoot myself in the heart if I even knew where it was. He says, thats easy, its just below your left breast and that my friends is why I have so much knee pain today.
