Hey Twist, are you out there lurking lol. Trying to keep the eyeballs propped open with toothpicks but sandman is cutting them off with his chainsaw faster than I can prop em. Hope you didn't work too hard today. We finally had a big drop in temperature & very little humidity today. Was very enjoyable to be outside. They are calling for late 60's tomorrow with possible low 40's for some areas at night. Not quite ready for it to change that rapidly. I still have outdoor painting & staining that needs to be done. Just trying to get thru canning. Tomorrow I will be making relish and hopefully by the end of the week I will have enough tomatoes ripe to can a batch of them.

you all know I still have Lily right ? I seen an ad on face book for a dog exactly like her except male . said someone dumped him about a week ago. they live very close to me. the man i got her from said he had 2 of them. (sigh)   Not the first person has asked about her. Either she is getting better or I am growing on her and she on me. no mess in the house for 2 days now. and she is starting to come when i call her so not completely untrainable.
Don't know how I missed this post granny. Glad to hear Lily is doing a bit better. Still makes me furious with her previous owner and looks like that scum ditched the other one too.

well, I still cant handle her. I would rehome her if someone wanted her but so far no one does so i continue with training and Robert is helping me . He is strong enough to put her down when she jumps and correct . He is not with her enough though to make a great difference. Just getting her to come when called would be nice. I let the other 2 out in the fenced yard to potty and she runs to the front door so i let her out there . she runs and I assume pottys there.

morning everyone !

I just finished giving Emily another bath. She's been laying in her own poop and the baby wipes were only getting me so far. She got very feisty with me, lol. We're blow drying now, and she's preening and putting a little weight in her hock! :celebrate

She still gurgled some when I tipped her, but still no blood. I wonder if she's getting pneumonia? Would tylan help with that?

do chickens even get pneumonia ? wondering if a hole in the lungs would cause the gurgle sound ? Is her comb purple? I know you are working hard with her.

he has dropped the other one off..he should have taken it to the animal shelter..i'm glad lily is being good..maybe she's finally realizing this is my home...

Comb is pinkish, normal. The day she was attacked it POURED buckets. So she could have gotten some water in her lungs. She only does it when I tip her, though. Otherwise she's still chatty, still eating and drinking very well. I think I'm going to leave her in the milk crate so she doesn't have much room to move around. I put pine shavings in it, so hopefully she'll stay a little cleaner.

your doing a good job camping.
Danna, Im not 100% about that but it would be my guess. Lily just used her paw to get my attention instead of jumping. Looks like she is my dog . no replies at all on the ads. If I go through all this and am able to train she will have a home here. If not I guess she will be pound bound .
