The evil blood sucking mites are back.

Crawling around the bantam nest boxes. Most of them are dead or moving really slow, so must be residual flea spray from this spring. Seems like nasty stuff, that spray, to last so long, but better dead mites than dead chickens. Must have caused it myself because I was just planning on retreating when the weather got better next week. Guess I will be doing it tomorrow. Mites are evil.

I maybe shouldnt of but i took the sevin dust in the shaker can and went in the coop and started throwing it all around. chickens boxes me. . I havent seen any more. LOL what did you use ?

That's one way of putting it! hahaaa. She doesn't quite know what to do with me because I am too straight forward. Ask for help, I will. Hint around and try to manipulate and guiltify everybody, I'm immune.

told you guys I found a one day old baby running in there yesterday? No idea where it came from. remember last week when I told you my GS destroyed all the nests ? he must of missed an egg.

We used to use bean dust in the 70s. It was on the label. I don't know the name or ingredients but I can't find it anymore. Any ideas what it could have been?

Granny I shake the poultry dust in my nest boxes before the bedding goes in to keep mites out as well. I haven't noticed any ill effect on my birds.

I shook it while the chickens were in there. dusted them up real good. LOL
