for spingers it is  12 to 14  and I would think cockers about the same maybe a little longer as they are a smaller breed.  But  with cockers make sure they don't get to fat and they do have a tendancy to get that way as they get older.

uffda not good I hate hand shy dogs. Also a dead give away of abuse. None of my dogs are hand shy (which is sort of surprising) but Beth is definitely wooden spoon shy or at least learey.

ya, we dont hate the dog, previous owner is the one going to hell. probably never snap out of it either. one of the reasons i decided to try harder with her. she has been passed around enough. she is not a bright dog but we cant all be Einsteins someone messed the house yesterday and today. I dont think it was her. I think frosty did it because she got the blame . didnt work today. they all got thrown out.
