if you truly want to kill a tree you can buy copper nails at a hardware store and pound then into the tree it should kill it pound the nails in a circle around the tree.

I know lots of ways to kill a tree. I just need one where the neighbors can't tell how it happened. It's their stupid tree and my roof and patio are covered in pine needles after all the wind last night. Stupid tree. Fire hazard... shouldn't be there.... grumble... grumble...
