sister called , trying to get a passport to Spain. wanted to know when our mother and father was born.

I have heard such nasty comments on FB about the flooding in Mexico. its so sad. all I can think about is the children over there. I havent watched the news about it and not sure i want to. whats wrong with those people ?

Yes ma'am, I'm the green dot. Zoomed way way out, though. Yesterday she was downgraded to a tropical depression, so basically just a big rain cloud. Not even lightning.


I got my run covered last night, so the chickens are fine. It's raining so softly and slowly that the ground can soak it up.


We have plenty of food and water, and the camp's kitchen is gas, if it comes to that. We're just going to stay home today.


I haven't watched any news. What did you see? Where is it from?

If we were getting a direct hit, I'd be in way more of a panic. We were in North LA when Rita hit, but I think she was still a cat 1 or 2 when she got to us. No one remembers, but Rita was actually stronger than Katrina, but no one died because we were all good listeners.

Gustav was the closest to a direct hit that I've been through. We were in MS and our camp was a "storm shelter" for evacuees. That was a tense night.
