Evening y'all. Still raining. I worked on "leave it" with Ben a bit ago. I put part of a peanut butter biscuit in my left hand and left him lick, nudge, nibble, etc. I'd say "leave it!" And when he did (however long that took) I'd give him one of the much tastier treats from my right hand. After 20 repetitions I think all he has learned is to look for a treat from my right hand when I say "leave it." So, that's progress?

Yes! That's good! Now, you can drop a flat treat on the ground, cover it with your foot really fast. When he gives up trying to get it and looks you in the eye to find out what your problem is, give him a treat! Never let him eat the one you drop. Next, don't quite cover it. but be ready to.

Granny are you sure gs isn't coming up on 3 because my grandson will be turning 2 in 5 weeks. I'm almost positive he is older than mine if my memory hasn't left me hanging

I'm the one in San Antoinio. We got rain for about 36 hours straight. I haven't left the house!

Sorry I didn't remember who. Are you OK? There was pretty bad flooding! I have friends in Canyon Lake, Niece in Austin and friends outside Dallas. FB posts were scary! Thank goodness you stayed home. Camping got a good dose, I'm wondering about Jane?

That's exactly what my grandma told my grand dad. He told her that it use to be 10
