I wonder if you gave your hens nothing but water with lots of food coloring if that would affect the color of their shells/feathers/or the egg it's self???

it works on cut flowers.

i wonder too. you can dye them before they hatch with it. I had the blue you put in ponds to stop algae they drank from. didnt notice a difference .
