I got to tone it down a bit. Got a pm that said I was offensive on another thread. I didn't think I was no offensive than some of the others on there but, guess I offended someone. I apologized and I think everything's ok now. If I offend anyone on here please let me know.

chickens are fed ! 15 eggs . running over again.  I have been giving them to DD. she said they are living on them.  I think/hope she is making it sound worse then it is. I know for fact she hasnt made the roast I gave her.

Then they aren't starving if they still have the roast. If they are going hungry, that would have been cooked. Its probably like a teenager looking in the fridge and saying there is nothing to eat, but the pantry is full of food. They are probably just out of the kind of food that is fast & easy & good snacks. Please make sure that you take care of your little family too. It is easy to get in a pattern of always doing without so that they can have it. The only problem is that they don't need a handout, they need a hand up. They have got to somehow learn to provide for themselves & their children. Your not going to be around forever. I know why you do it, your trying to look out for your grand babies just like I would. It just hurts me to see them take advantage of your generous nature. I mean no offense honey. I truly hope they can get things figured out & headed down the right path.

I think you sent the rain on up to granny and them. Looks like wind and rain all over the midwest.   chicken poop all over the porch, but it washes. Do yours wallow in the mud? We have so little rain here that my hens will find any mud spot and just wallow in it! Does your soil drain pretty well?

No wallowing in mud. We have red clay here near the Georgia line. Posting picture of 3 chickens going to freezer camp soon. Gs says make chicken and dumplings out of one. DD says she will gut them if i kill and pluck. Sounds like a deal to me.
