Did you mix from scratch? Maybe dry mix wasn't blended enough. Did you smush all the air out of some?

yes from scratch I mixed it lightly then let it rise for a few. Got my first double yolker !!! its in the dumplins.

some of my yolks have light and dark spots in them ?? all the normal yolk color just parts of it look richer then others

I would still move her. I've seen lots of cracked eggs from someone trying to lay in the broody's best.

Be sure to candle if you're keeping eggs that she's already been setting.

when can I candle them? And thank you. I didn't get to move her today. I'm soaking wet from feeding and watering all the chickens. I made her get up She stayed up about 15 minutes stuffing her face and drinking. The kids thought a giraffe had pooped in the yard. I told them it was pearls. My hens name not my pearls. She usually comes inside to do her business.

Not much going on here. Pulled my shoulder lifting feed, so that stinks. Ran a few errands in town, now trying to get back timely to make supper. Spaghetti squash Alfredo and roasted asparagus.

I am at the hospital now. He is in pretty good spirits. He is bitching about the low sodium diet. His legs look much better, but still room for improvement. The Dr. says they want to find the reason for his legs swelling. His heart function is normal. His lungs are clear. They did an ultrasound on his legs and heart today. And a sonogram on his legs. The Cardiologist and Vascular Drs will view them in the morning and we should know something by early afternoon.

The rain started Saturday night, parts of our county are flooded again. School was closed early today and already closed for tomorrow. I saw a lot of flooded yards on my way to the hospital. I am staying here tonight since I don't want to drive home on roads that may be flooded.

thanks guys ! I am an expert ! at running my mouth that is..
doing everything in slo-mo today. I called toms dr. and they didnt have any results from heart dr. thinking they tried to tell him friday and they are not in on that day.
