If its first molt I wouldnt look for them to come back . doenst mean the gene is not there for some pretty babies though. Let us know what they say ??

Second molt I think. It was really a bad one, though. I got a better pic of the babies. The hen is solid black amerecauna and the roo was pure RIR. Maybe that's making the chocolate tones?

The amer on the right is for sure a cockerel. I can see his hackles coming in. And the RIR is a cockerel. Not sure about the one on the left, but leaning towards roo on that one, too.
 
I cant tell on the ees all I caught was the rir. too bad that. the ee with the black head is nice looking.
 
i would love to get up one morning with the energy of my 3 year old grandson..never gonna happen
