And had common sense, right? Like not climbing over marked barriers to dangle your small child over the enclosure of a wild animal and then suing the zoo when your dumb-butt drops said child in and he/she is injured?
Oh, how I miss the concept of personal responsibility...........

And people had some common sense. If there was a hole, you put up a sign that said hole. They saw the sign and went around it. Now you have to have the sign, flashing lights and a neon-clad flag man to keep some idiot from falling in and suing.

but you just can't control everything. Pretty soon we are all going have to be rolled up in bubble wrap so no one ever gets hurt. Sometimes bad things just happen. And sometimes people being stupid should allowed to be hurt so they learn not to be so stupid.

Not only that - you put up all those markings and it makes you MORE liable, not less, because you are acknowledging you are aware of the hazard.........our "justice" system is a piece of work.......

I have liability ins on the farm so if I am nice enough to let someone hunt it and they step in a hole and hurt themselves they can't sue me but have to sue the ins company. Motel ins was over 12,000 this year.
