Panic stations at first but thank goodness I didn't have to get the vet out, Phew!! Could really do with out the vet bill getting any higher! He managed to dislodge it himself after some very messy and rather distressing coughing

Morning everyone, cold, wet, WINDY & occasional snowflake kinda day here. Had to be up early to rehome a rooster was thinking I was accomplishing a good thing to get down to one Silkie roo for the winter months. Then sisters in-law message me 2 days ago to let me know that she couldn't find anyone to take her extra silkie mixed roo & could I please take it. Oh & I'm very attached to him & maybe in the spring we can have some Elvis babies. She ended up with 4 roos out of the 6 chicks she bought from me. So I've been trying to find homes for her extras. Now it seems I having another roo. Sure hope my silks will except him.

Yes he had food lodged in his pipe :th Horses can't be sick so the only way is down. They can still breathe as its a different pipe to the stomach. But because it's blocked all the saliva has to come out of the mouth and nose as they can't swallow it. Very messy job indeed, but it went down in the end :bow

Afternoon York, sorry to hear about Harry horses troubles. Glad he was able to clear the choke himself. I can't even imagine how much vets charge for horse care.
