I need to call it a night. DH is going to help me get the yard cleaned and the coops ready for us to leave. The folks chicken-sitting for us are real fix-it types, and too old to stoop through a 4ft coop every day. Plus the roosts and nest boxes.

He said if I say one single mean thing to him that I'm on my own.

that I can be nice for a few hours.

so put her out during the day and bring her in at night. stuff rugs/blankets/hay in the dog house. make sure she has water and food. maybe a couple toys to help keep her busy.
