By popular demand, we are having sketti again.  Just finished chopping onions!  :hit

Broccoli, garlic bread and salad to go with it.

I've never tried HH.  What's the best kind?  Do you add pasta or something?

My favorite premade thing is asparagus risotto from Trader Joe's.  I add chicken and extra asparagus and we have it over rice.

OR the thai curry chicken from TJ's.  Add carrots, potatoes, and onion in chicken broth and we have that over rice too.

The simpler, the better. We like cheeseburger macaroni and four cheese lasagna. I always season the meat as it cooks. Everything inside, just add beef! Or chicken, or tuna.

Wish we had a trader joes. OR a fresh market. Not a lot of options that aren't Walmart. Our local is called "market basket" and it has an EXCELLENT meat counter.

One of the perks of living here is all the fresh produce year round.  They just opened a market basket in the next town over.  I was pretty impressed, considering it's Walmart.

The neighborhood market? We have a couple of those, not impressed. It seems same quality and higher prices than regular Walmart. Just smaller. :/

Market Basket is a "local" grocery store chain, like a Winn Dixie or a Brookshire Bros. Produce and dried goods, an aisle of pet food and "hardware," then an aisle of cleaning supplies. Real bakery that serves plate lunches, and real butcher that you talk to through the window. It's more expensive, but they run weekly specials.

We also have a Freds, Family Dollar, and Dollar General, as far as chains. We have a family-run pharmacy with the soda counter, a couple of cute little clothing and jewelry shops, a feed store, and a nice little hardware store.

We have to drive 45 minutes for the "big city" things like movie theater, eye exams, Walmart/target, etc. etc.

that makes or a long day. Used to do that with moms dogs. they were high maintenance .

WooHoo -- I'm online!!!! Apparently the modem we had (issued by phone company) crapped out on us, so they replaced it and, what do you know, internet! We're just biding our time at this point on DSL as they have been working all summer to get our area upgraded to fiber optic which DH just "has" to have, so as soon as they get it all finished up on the change over we'll be switching anyway, which means yet another new box being installed............I don't even care, I'd get by on dial-up if need be, but I'm not a big gamer or anything that requires a lot of speed.....
Now, off to try in vain to get caught up around here........

It does make for a long day - most places get all the dogs in and bathed in the morning and then do the actual grooms through the late morning/afternoon so it can often take quite a while start to finish since they aren't doing each dong one at a time bath to done.
