try missing one day of laundry in our house.........

six kids, one of them in cloth diapers, big kid ie me. and then the wife.

we go thru towels and socks like no one's business.....

There is only three of us here and that's enough for me!!

you know , I dont give 2 craps about SIL but he is trying to feed my grandkids pretty hard. I wonder if a stranger on the street with no where to sleep would get better treatment ?

I do see where your coming from in that he is working to feed the kids but all the crap he has given you over various things and how he treats your DD would seriously put me off!! Do Tom and he not see eye to eye at all? Have you explained to Tom about him working to feed the kids?
I understand now why Tom wanted you to give them the van, so SIL would not have to stay at your house.
