Thank you all for making me feel welcome!
Wishing, my "Goodneatstuff" name came from a bag full of small antique beauty items that I found at a yard sale many years ago that had a sticker on it that said "GOODNEATSTUFF - $2.00". Victorian-type, fancy stuff.. a little mirror, tweezers, a tiny comb, etc. Needless to say I couldn't resist it. I'm now also working on getting a website gift shop going. So, you were pretty close..

Ha! I was pretty close! I love antique shops, although I guess they are really more "collectible" shops (junk shops?!) than true antiques. So funny to see things my gramma had, or I had, for sale as "vintage." That's much nicer than saying old, isn't it? I am not old, I am vintage!

I have an auntie that lives in Missouri. Farmington, up south of St. Louis. Her husband died a couple years back and she keeps saying she's going to move out here, but looks like she's going to have another winter in the snow! Brrrr....

Better! Till you mentioned "Electric recirculating pumps" Scenario: You have NO electricity. How do you heat then?
I think that's why Twist is so mad about the new regs... He can't really heat without electricity. Same here for us with water. No power for the pump, no water for us. My dad has a generator, plenty powerful enough to run the well pump, but wonder how it would work for a boiler.

OH MY new number for most chatty and what have you. I have 3 of the top 10 most ovations. and granny is back in number 1 spot and if I remember right I am # 2 . This thread is back in top spot as well.
That was your jokes I think Twist, and they were a lifeline for me today! Do you remember the song "Make the World Go Away"? I needed this ugly world to go away today. I'm really struggling.

It would but required an electrician and probably about another grand minimum
That doesn't leave you a lot of options if you have guests. Electric blankets are out. No wood stoves allowed. Bonfire in the parking lot? Thick yak hair blankets? Invite the first family for a stay during the next power outage!

LMAO they wouldn't get out of here alive. You can have wood or pellet stoves for heating but there is no way my ins co would allow that for a motel. The last time I was making soups by the gallons and feeding people something hot and letting then into the house. I had a gas oven and stove top had both going full blast.
