Hi everyone,

Very busy, exhausting weekend with the grand babies. This Nana just does not do well without sleep anymore. The stay was unexpected, but loved seeing them. It was after 11:00 Sat night before I got the baby down, then 2 year old gs back up at 2 a.m. Was so exhausted

That's a daunting amount of work for someone in their 20s.  My back is aching in sympathy!  :hugs
Yes it is, too bad I wasn't that 20 year old :gig

Hi Tippy :hugs Hi campin Hi york :hugs did I get my hellos in this morn, I forget who was on...

Hi Sally! :frow

Loved touring your coop this morning! I loved the pallet roof. I need to do something like that. DH said the stuff we used on the tractor is really expensive, though I'm pretty sure in the summer he was telling me how cheap it was....

Guess I could run a bead of caulk or something in the seams to help waterproof?

Me too. I was having bad back trouble with my own new born. Mid-30s then, and I was worried I wasn't up to the job! Loved seeing the moms carrying the babies in a shoulder sling. Not for me. Could only manage about 15 minutes of that. He wasn't even really that big, either. Almost 4 weeks early!

Youngest gs is 4 1/2 months old, he weighs over 20 pounds already. My back has been bad for many years, but for the past 4 or 5 yrs there just isn't anything that can be done to help. I take it one day at a time with it.

Camping, so happy to read that Ben came back. Really scared me when I read that he had run off.

He was trying to find Lily!

They would've made the prettiest babies!

guess I should go try and do the waters outside . Its too heavy for me . I am getting pretty mad at myself here. thinking if I even need pets anymore.   BBL too
Granny, have you thought of possibly getting rid of the old flock except for a favorite or 2. Building or have built a small coop for your back porch. It would limit your numbers, but it might allow you to still have a few birds. If they were close & small enough area that a heat lamp would keep the waterers from freezing that you wouldn't have to use such a large one. Just throwing something out there. I know you really don't want to get rid of your birds.

Are there any ugly puppies?

The first dog we ever had was a huge black lab (95+ lbs). He looked a lot like Ben. He was a failed hunting dog we got from the pound. Poor guy was afraid of gun shots! And thunder, when he would try to shove his massive hulk under the bed. My dad didn't want to get him neutered, thought he would get lazy. He ran off to the neighbor's and was naughty with their GS lady dog that was in heat. Those were cute puppies too! All 12 of them!

Dad changed his mind about keeping an intact dog. He never got lazy, but he never got over the wanderlust either. Had to keep him penned if no one was out watching him or he'd disappear for half the day.
