Hey! You got all the rain last month and wouldn't share! We got a good soaking yesterday. Still no run off yet, it's all still soaking into the ground. The creeks are empty. Hope you get some tomorrow.

Well you ran all over He!!'s half acre, put up a beautiful tree, went out to eat, cleaned a chicken water, I'm tired reading it! Back to a question, how do you all that live in such cold climates keep chicken water from freezing?

Keeping the water from freezing is the easy part, kepping your hands from freezing is a whole different ball game. I use cookie tin heaters.

It is turning into a dud. Last mo all total less than 1/10 at my house.

Seems like they're getting a promising dump of snow in the Sierras though.

Terrible discovery today. There were a few eggs in the bantam coop and I noticed they had little black dots all over them. That means mites.

Dang broodys sitting all the time are just mite incubators! These must be northern fowl mites, since I see no red mites in the coop. Have to get #2 up there with a flashlight to help me check.
