Somebody asked if I am moved???

Well, no, I have decided what I need to sell, decided what I absolutely have to keep. No I am down to what to give away or throw away. I will only be working 3 days a week for a couple of weeks. Then I will put in for vacation time. Megan is going to come down after New Years to help me load the moving truck. My first day at the new store will be January 23rd. I have enough vacation and personal days that I won't miss any wages.

I still don't know what I am going to do with my horse. Boarding fees are as high as house payments where I am going......

I already found homes for my most favorite chickens. They will be spoiled. They will have a brand new coop and a huge run. They have never been outside of the stall in the barn that I call my coop. They will think they are in heaven.

The rest of the chickens are going to a Mexican family. They have two little girls that want to make the hens pets because of the green and blue eggs. I think the mom wears the pants in this family and she is the one that says the girls can have pet chickens because they will lay eggs. Got my fingers crossed for them.

Megan says maybe we can make a hoop coop and get some quail since they don't crow...

Got any friends where you are now that could let him be a pasture buddy on their property for the time being until you can get settled in and make new "horsey friends" that might be willing/able to offer you a pasture board situation at their place in PA? What about doing a partial lease or would allowing use for lessons be something you could consider/would be appropriate for the horse if you found a boarding place that could discount for it?

Hey folks. I am finally home. My mom shopped my butt off literally... pretty sure I am down a size.. I am pooped and now my kids are acting up cause they have been away from me all day. No rest for the wicked... ughhhhh

I might be able to leave my horse here. The land lord has a horse here. I moved my horses here 6 months before I moved here. For board I just buy the hay for his horse. I know my mate would be taken care of while I was looking for s place for her. The land lord stops by religiously to check his horse.

The Mexicans were glad to show me their chickens. Clean pens, nice shelters, no fighting roosters.

My land lord wants me to leave them here for him, but he will turn them lose and they won't make it more than s couple of days. The roaming pack of neighborhood dogs will kill them.

DH has like three - he all but lives in his bathrobe, over clothes, when he's at home. His dad is the same way, so I guess that's what he grew up with as the norm.....we get him a new one ever couple of years for Christmas. In fact, the first Christmas after we had started dating DD was like 3 and he had gone to FL to visit friends right before the holiday, DD and I picked him up at the airport to give him a ride to his place and the first thing out of DD's mouth was, "We went shopping while you were gone - we bought you a Christmas present" -- and DH says, "What did you get me?" --- well, DD was 3 and didn't know any better so she out and told him without a second thought..that was his first lesson in thinking before you speak when dealing with small children.
Yeah - the backyards of our property and the most immediate neighbors to the left and right tend to be the route of choice for getting to/from one house our garage to another, so it's not really 'safe' to wander around here unclothed in the house.
I think it is what you grow up with. My mom lived in her robe here over her clothes and all! She never got used to the cold nights even though she lived in Mi! My heat kicks on at 63. She'd have preferred 78. Never understood that about her. AC set at 74 in the summer, heat set at 78 in winter. I just won't pay those costs. I love my robes. a short cotton for summer and big long puffies for winter. Great over my jammies.

Thank you Willzpapa. We do a lot of praying here.

This move, Mike's health, my new position at work, and now all the problems getting my transfer to work, have left me wondering how in the world I remain sane.

Prayer always helps!
