I think we have all found our common ground.

I need some feedback. My Callie kitty is going to die soon. (kidney problems) I can probably spend some money and fix her up for a while. She's 16. I am choosing not to because she pees everywhere! She has not used a litterbox in 5 years or so. She's even peeing in my bed! I feel awful because I could take her to the vet and prolong and improve her life, but I'm sooooo tired of the peeing. Your thoughts, please
Same here Mutt, unless there wasn't anything on TV. I remember the first five years of our marriage as soon as the fire pit was uncovered from snow we were out having a campfire every weekend. Would do that all fall until it started snowing. We talked so much then, about our dreams. Things really changed 9 years ago when I had my brain surgery. I became very forgetful, he couldn't depend on me to work like I did before. He would get frustrated with my forgetfulness. Now he gets frustrated because I can't lift or work like I used to be able to. No concept of what it is like being in pain everyday. I know he loves me, but wish things were different.I'm glad that a lot of you have spouses that are glad that you've found friends here. I don't think mine understands, I think he thinks I'm nuts lol. He has his friends
Me too! I love my DH, but he never talks. Never did. Never starts a conversation. Very quiet serious dude. Friends and work people, only talks when he needs to. So upstanding, honest, trustworthy, reliable. I knew that when I chose him. I do live with a stranger. It works for me. Ya'll and all of my friends for sure know me better than DH does. For me, it was much easier when I went to work every day and interacted with so many people! I stopped working outside the home last year. I swear I could fall dead and DH wouldn't go looking for 2 days. It's ok though. I hate drama. I enjoy this family so very much. Love the shared interests and humor and caring. It's all good!

16 is a good long life. I honestly would not have put up with the peeing for 5 years, very saint like IMHO
