Morning all, 12 hrs. in bed. my back is stiff. I missed all the rooster pics. last night and not sure how because I posted afterwards. LOL They are the prettyist roos In one bunch I have seen.   Can you imagine a coop full of hens with those colors ?

Twist, beautiful table.  Your mother "made" that set ? painted ? its very beautiful . It deserves a big manger built for it. hint,hint.

So, you all have scared me out of my incubator. Maybe I will do a light bulb, I dont know.. I wont save my pennys for one though because I never have them to save. LOL I have 2 coolers already .

Jane, its ok if you dont have time to read every post. A few people dont. (yes, I can tell)  What ever time you do have to pop in , let us know you are doing well, ect...  Love to hear from you..

Morning granny, glad you got a good rest. Love my roos this year. Both the Icelandic & the SFH are a landrace breed so any color & comb style are possible. I have a trio of 1 roo & 2 hens of each breed. Can't wait for spring to let them breed & see what they produce. I am very happy with both breeds for temperament. They are very docile. My Ice hens are up to a medium sized egg so far. My SF hens aren't laying yet that I know of. Sorry to hear about your incubator ideas. Hopefully Sally can walk you thru a small coolerbator if that's what you decide to do.

Lisa, they are just beautiful. I got one baby from my sfh and a rir and I am disappointed to say its a roo . It has the features of sfh and color of rir.

Nope, it was just a beautiful sunny day for a change & once a week I let the bacholor pad out into the large chicken run. They have a small covered run attached to their small coops. Once a week I lock up all the inner run doors, then let the roos out to spread their wings a bit. Finally wasn't raining so I could snap a couple picture.

Morning y'all. I keep having nightmares that my chickens are being picked off one by one and all night I just find them in the yard. In last night's the one I found had her breast split open but was still alive and gasping.

Also the nanny that rage quit last summer was in my dreams. So I guess they're stress dreams.
