Granny, do you have pics and measurements of the fridge and heat coils?
I could make a few suggestions and probably sketch something up for you.
I am sure there are others Sally will enlist to help as well.

its cabinet bator spring heat that threads through the ceramic rollers

Granny I keep finding fridge ones but they all have lights in them.... not sure the heat will not melt that thing https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/714482/home-made-incubator/10#post_9766584

so where does that fan start ? is there that big of a hole in the fridge itself ? will the fridge be hard to cut for a viewing window ?

Sally needs to post you some of her pictures . late getting in here . remember that the lining of the fridge is plastic make sure the heater is not to close . granny have you been to the DIY incubator thread . Might one there . you can look at

I am worried about those heating wires melting as well... tried talking her into the lights more than once

Granny just got a dorm fridge 31x24 x18   she has the guts from a bator that jesshaun made for her,  its coils heat and a big fan with a wafer thermostat....

I need help for her design to put these guts into a fridge she just got tonight...  @granny hatchet

I Bring help to my granny

everyone say hello to all here, love them all!

Does she have turners or racks to go in it yet? As far as freon and such, not sure I'd mess with getting rid of it or the compressor. Unless you decide to use the existing fan system. I would use a shelf system to isolate the heat source and fans. How many eggs are you wanting to incubate at a time? I'd be more than happy to help as I've built plenty of cabinets, but never out of a fridge. First thing I tell everybody is to decide how many eggs they want to incubate and design around the turner/racks they want to use.

I was actually thinking about this the other day but with a full size stand up freezer. What I'm kicking around is leaving all cooling system/fans intact but using the heat off the coils/compressor as the heat source instead of blowing air through the condenser. The 110v window ac/heater combos use this type of setup to heat/cool. I'm not sure it would be enough heat but I have an extra freezer to play around with.

I ran it in the stryofoam a few times . Because the fan was so strong and Jessshan told me not to run it without the fan. I just couldnt control humidity in there. It would blow the whole pan dry in a day.
