Sales Agreement and Puppy Contract
On this day _____/_____/_____ Breeder received $ check #_________ to be applied to the cost of the pup (Male $ / Female $ ) as a NON-refundable* deposit for an AKC Limitted registerable (no breeding rights) purebred English Springer Spaniel Puppy DOB and being sold as a family pet and as follows…
circle: MALE or FEMALE PAID________VIA______ DATE_____
DAM:
SIRE:
Puppy w/ the following colors/markings:
circle: Liver White / L/W/Tri Color / Black White / B/W/Tri Color
ID BAND COLOR/NAME : __________________________________________________________.
This deposit will hold the puppy until it has been weaned and is ready for pick-up at 8 weeks old, NO SOONER so please don’t ask. That date will be __________ and NO LATER than _________________unless other arrangements are made. If buyer CHOOSES to postpone or delay picking up their puppy by more than 2 days, they will be charged a boarding fee of $15. per day and additional fees will be applied to the total bill and must be paid in full before the puppy can leave the premises. Any puppies not picked up within a week of turning 8 weeks old, shall be deemed "unclaimed" & will be re-listed for sale. The buyer will forfeit the deposit. The remainder of puppy payment is expected at time of pick-up. No checks at pick up, CASH only to protect ourselves as well as our puppies!
Once I have received the deposit for the puppy, it is considered your puppy, and will be listed as sold. *In the event that the puppy you have reserved is stricken with a life threatening illness, has a genetic defect, or dies before it is old enough to go to its new home, 8 weeks.... you will be offered a refund or a replacement puppy of equal value and quality when available.
This deposit is NON-refundable except as stated in the paragraph above. Breeder may choose to return the deposit if they feel that circumstances merit a return. Meaning, we hold the right to return a deposit if for some reason we feel the pup is NOT a good match for the potential NEW Owner.
Because of age of the puppies and their developing personalities, it is not possible to guarantee any specific qualities of the dog when it is an adult and we do not guarantee the puppy’s adult size, color or suitability for any breeding. If the buyer has already made the deposit and later decides they do not want the puppy for any reason, the Breeder is NOT required to return the deposit. Overall, the Breeder is not required to return any deposit, but will be understanding in emergency circumstances and will try to work with a Buyer by offering to hold the deposit 12 months to transfer the deposit to another unreserved puppy from another litter at a later date. This deposit is non- transferable.

I THE BUYER, agree to provide the said puppy/dog with a humane and healthy INDOOR environment. I the buyer, agree to provide the puppy/dog with proper food, shelter, all age appropriate vaccines, wormings, & veterinary care throughout the puppy's lifetime. I the buyer agree to have the puppy vet checked within 72 hours of possession and will make the necessary arrangements ahead of time so that the Vet can accommodate the pup. The Buyer agrees to keep the animals safety in mind and will provide a safe environment and CONATAINMENT SYSTEM, be it a fence or underground system when the pet is outside! It is not mentally healthy for a dog to stay in a small yard, kennel or cable/rope day after day. This is physically unhealthy too. Those types of living conditions will cause the dog to become unhappy and may develop bad habits and emotional stress such as chewing its paws, etc. By agreeing to this contract you are assuring us that you will be providing a good place for the dog to romp and play every day. Buyer agrees that this dog will not be used for any illegal or immoral activities and is NOT to be used for any type of puppymill, dog farm or other mass producing or money making operation. The buyer shall not sell the puppy, or its offspring (if any), to any individual or establishment in the business of buying and selling puppies for a profit.Vet Bills are the responsibility of the Buyer.
AGAIN, THIS Puppy will only be placed in loving, INDOOR homes. I will NOT place my puppies with someone who plans to house their puppy outdoors. BREEDER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SALE TO ANYONE!
WELCOME BACK POLICY: If for any reason you are not able to care for your new puppy at anytime and you have made an effort to find him a qualified home, please do not take your dog to a shelter. We will be happy to help rescue your puppy and find him a suitable home as long as you can provide signed off AKC paperwork as well as Veterinary Health Records. Breeder will not refund the original cost of the dog. Breeder is not responsible for any transportation cost incurred in returning or replacing the dog. It is understood that if the dog is returned for any reason, no cash refunds will be given. Refunds on puppies are only given if the puppy has been diagnosed with a condition as stated in the Health section of the contract. Our Welcome Back Policy is NOT providing you with an easy way out by any means. It is because we are passionate about our dogs and want to know how they are doing at all stages of their lives.
YOUR PUPS HEALTH: All puppies upon leaving our premises will have first set of shots (6 weeks), or if puppy is over 9 weeks, second set of shots, and several deworming sessions. When you pick up the pup, you will receive a shot record envelope, with dates, ages, and even the labels from the vaccination bottles as well as worming schedules. You can put future shots, and vet information inside the envelope and keep it for future reference. Always, ALWAYS, take the envelope with you to the vet's office. That way, he will know the vaccines, wormers, etc., that your pet has already had and will not inadvertently give him something the puppy doesn't need. All other information and documents will be enclosed in a packet. AKC registration papers will also be in your packet. We do not guarantee the ability of your puppy to breed or show as stated above, we only guarantee the health of the puppy at the time of the sale. Because your puppy is still a baby, it should receive age-appropriate exercise. They should be allowed to play or stop at will. They should not be encouraged to walk or run long distances or for long periods of time. Excessive leash walking, for example, can cause repetitive stress injuries to their developing joints and muscles and lead to hip dysplasia. It is very important to not let children play with the puppy unsupervised. Little children commonly accidentally drop puppies. Also, puppies have sharp teeth and are teething and may accidentally hurt children. Also, always supervise other pets with the puppy to watch for Alpha behaviors in other dogs that can injure you new puppy.
AGAIN, Do not take the puppy out in public until 16 weeks of age and until it has received all its shots. We do not cover illnesses that your puppy can get from such outings.

HEALTH GUARANTEE:
Your puppy is guaranteed to be in good general health and free of disease at the time you take possession of the puppy. For this guarantee to be in effect, you will need to take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian of your choice within 72 hours (three business days) of receiving him. Since we have no control over the puppy's new environment, this general health guarantee will not be in effect after the 72 hours has expired, and will not cover problems caused by neglect (poisoning, accidents, etc.), or exposure to other sick dogs, even during the first 72 hours. THE BUYER AGREES to have the dog examined by a veterinarian at their expense within 3 days from date of purchase. If the licensed veterinarian does not give the dog a clean bill of health, buyer must notify the seller immediately and we retain the right to have the dog seen by a vet of our choice for a second opinion. PLEASE NOTE: There are many disorders that are not life threatening and are not covered under this guarantee. Examples are allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic mange and other autoimmune disorders. Some of these may be caused by environmental factors. This guarantee also does not include uneven bite, undescended testicles, injuries, fleas, mites, ringworm, kennel cough, hernias, coccidia, giardia or any other intestinal worms/ parasites, as they are common in dogs and puppies and may easily be picked up elsewhere, examples; public places and your own back yard and shoes. Health care of the puppy is much like a baby and completely the responsibility of the new owner upon taking possession of the pup. Failure to notify the seller within 2 business days will result in forfeiture of rights. If the veterinarian determines, within 3 days of purchase, that your dog is clinically ill or has died from an injury sustained or illness likely to have been contracted on or before the date of sale and delivery, you have the following options:
Return the dog for a complete refund
Return the dog for a replacement dog of equal value if and when available
Again, Failure to notify the seller within 2 business days will result in forfeiture of rights.
TEMPERAMENT: At time of sale, the Puppy is well socialized and of sound temperament. Since the Breeder cannot control the environment, training or additional socialization after time of sale, no provisions are made in regards to temperament; and it is the owners responsibility to further socialize and train said Puppy. We strongly recommend that Buyer attend obedience classes with puppy and provide proper socialization opportunities for puppy. We are not responsible for acts of puppy which are due to Buyers negligence and lack of obedience.
