papa my DH is 78 yrs. there are no in-laws. Just a few out-laws still hanging around.

haha, I was looking at back posts and I do remember. You said you were your own boss. from chickens right ? How do eggs keep you floating once you buy food ? I am paying about $70. a month for say 20-25 dozen . The eggs sell here for $2. a dozen. Not that I am selling but if I was I would still be $30. in the hole . (if my math is right)

Hi everybody! HELLUVA windstorm here a few days ago! 60 mph winds! Lots of damage. Just got internet back!

No hope of catching up, so is everyone alright? Still have lots of boarding dogs here, so no time to play. Love ya'll! Hope you had a terrific holiday!

I would do it after she goes to bed. dont sound right. was it her very first egg ? does she have calcium ?

She'd been laying since late this summer (April hatch). I guess I'll beg husband to throw a hand. They get eggshells fed back to them on a regular basis and do get oyster shell when I remember to give it (I'm less ocd with this since they're usually getting three eggs worth of shells a day)

Oh man you too with that? My waterer and feeder were going crazy! After that I vowed not to hang water up when we're out of town - it'll just get spilled if we get high wind!
