My washer drum will fills with water when it's not running. Flooded the laundry room twice. So now I have to always keep the door closed, which of course makes it smell. I can't figure out if it's a particular cycle or setting. Unless it drained itself, it didn't happen the two weeks we were gone. It does it empty or with clothes.

It's a front-loading whirlpool, and I think it's 8 years old.

Usually Water valve, hot is usually separate from cold.

Could be gunk in the pressure line or even a bad pressure switch as well

You don't use liquid fabric softener do ya?

Stuff is terrible

:hide

Not much, and not every load. My homemade detergent is scent less, so I just use the fabric softener so we smell good.

TECHNICALLY I'm still not HATCHING.

I have a PLAN. I need to hatch a bunch of low-dollar mutts and get my rates up before I start investing on eggs. Remember I only have the lg styro and I've never hatched better than about 72%.

enola, last night, just for giggle, since I already had the bator up to temp, I threw the hygrometer in.

no water in the trays, and got a 33% reading for the hour or so I left it in. this was with both top plugs pulled out.
That's about what I get here in SA "Dry hatching" Worked like a champ for me. I added a teeny bit of water at the very end.
