Well, in an unexpected turn of events, DH gave his blessing on the svart honas. He wants me to pull money from savings, add the money from my sussex flock, and start a chicken checking account. The he wants his "investment" returned, plus 10% equity stake in my profits. He's trying to Shark Tank me!

Enola already cleared this up and I'm to lazy to go back and find this post and unquote it lol.

I hatched and sold all last year, Sally. Around here even mutt hens can go $20 in their first season. I had trouble with the sussex because no one knew what they were, which is why I'm in a breed pickle right now. It takes too long to gain footing. Of course my customers were usually repeat and very generous with praise. But I made sure to always follow up with them.

I'm a member of about 8 poultry groups on fb. Our CL is mostly repeats from fb. Plus I'm in a "network" of chicken folks I can call when I'm looking for something.

Just everyone is being real stingy with eggs right now. :/

  I keep my email tab open, but you said your on cell, so you would have to set your notifications to get tags only notifications, somewhere in user preferences.  I only get tags in my email and the newsletter

You're right! I'll be testing fertility by putting them in the bator. . Sorry for being so dense this morning. I don't do well when all my wheels are spinning different directions.

I guess I'll warm up the bator (but first clean it {but first clean my office!}) and see what's around here. Maybe I'll try to find the lady with the EE eggs I hatched last Easter. They did pretty well.
