Well, no more green eggs for me. My EE hen died. They were free ranging and she didn t come when i put them up. Maybe some of my pullets have her green egg gene. Some have her comb type. None of the ones from june s hatch are laying green eggs but july & october hatches have several pullets with 1 row pea combs.
aww sorry Jane, love my colored eggs. Here's to hoping the gene was passed on :hugs

Megan texted me today to tell me we have a nosey neighbor that comes outside to stare at her when she takes Ryan out side to play. I asked her if he is single. She says he lives with mom & dad. She hasn't seen a girl friend. I told her not to worry, the first time I see him staring, I will introduce myself as her older girl friend. So she says how are we going to explain Mike ?

Mike says he will tell him, " Hey ya'll, I'm the Queen " said in a high pitched voice, while waving his hand in the air and prancing across the lawn.

Poor, Megan, she asked me again, what have I gotten myself into??
:gig poor Megan

actually hadn't planned on breaking the bull calves, That way I could sell them as breeding bulls or butcher either way. And Porter does have a very impressive bloodline. The girls not so much. LOL

BUT I do love rocky mountain oysters
