It's not unusual - system just getting back up and running. Good news is that the second laying cycle (once she gets running) is where you see the biggest, nicest eggs of her productive life.

HI OL MARE!

I sure know how you felt over the holidays. I also get really down and homesick. We too are counting the days to get out of dodge. I hope you can find excitement and anticipation! DH is on a 3 yr plan, I'd leave here tomorrow. I sure hope DD continues to mend and she'll be able to transfer. I've read that OR is very unfriendly to retirees tax wise, so that's off our list. "Bundy's"? taking over??? Splain?
Can you trim pretty boy's spurs and keep him for breeding? Anyway, so glad to see you back and sorry you had a blue holiday.

The "Bundy's" is in reference to the yahoos currently occupying a wildlife preserve in protest -- did you see any of the coverage of Cliven Bundy and the big standoff between him (and a bunch of armed supporters) and the BLM over unpaid grazing fees a year or so ago? His two sons are now up near Burns with a dozen or so other guys.
