Is enola here? The langshan breeder posted an egg this morning, sweet little light pink egg. Would I be able to cross light pink and dark brown to get plum-tinted? That would be a fun project.

Edit: or jane

Pink eggs are usually just pale brown eggs. There is a breed that does appear to lay pink eggs, the enterior of the shell is the same color as the outside of the egg. But, I can't remember the name of the breed. Will have to research it.

There are breeders on this site that claim their "croad" Langshans lay a purple or plum egg. But, I don't know what a croad Langshan is.

Croad is a variety of langshan, considered the original if I remember correctly. I'm getting blue ones in the spring.
