see the one next to it ? I dont know what color that is..

I think that is from an olive egger that doesn't have very blue shells. Kind of looks like a dark taupe. Khaki-brown? I like it! But it's still not as cool as that grey one.

Bert thats going to be fun to see what kind hatch.i have never tried to hatch.one of my hens went broody once and a friend gave me 4 fertile eggs.hen mama did a great job i did nothing.didn't candle either.chicks were healthy.only one roo and i had to give him away,my neighbors are too close too.

Dana, that is cool.

after this experiment with the incubator, I will be looking for a hen to go broody, so the kids can see a mama hen hatch and raise some chicks.

i don't have little kids but when i saw that first tiny head peeking out from mama's wing i was tickled to death..
